Solidarity, growth, and team spirit. To the members of this volleyball club, a home away from home has been found. The volleyball club had its genesis in 2001, further growing the team by recruiting members from the Internet community in August of 2002. To date, the team is the reigning champion of the Ottawa-Chinese Beach Volleyball Cup, having won three years in a roll since 2001. In recent years, the team has also ranked in the top three in the Carleton University Intramural league.

As a club, we continue to foster stronger team spirits amongst members, and as a sports team, we continue to make great strides towards improving our skills. The club’s membership consists mostly of Carleton University graduates and students, formed in September 2002 as an organization for volleyball lovers to come together and enjoy the sport. Today, the club has 16 active members, representing two teams. From its recreational roots, the teams have matured into technically competitive teams. Along the way, the teammates became true friends of our life in Ottawa.

了解，成长，团队。对于很多排球队里的队员，远离父母在大洋彼岸求学的他们重新找到了“家”的感觉。我们的排球队从2001年的酝酿，2002年8月30号的一个帖子开始，一直到了今天连续夺得Ottawa“加华杯”华人沙滩排球赛冠军，在Carleton University校内联赛前三名的队伍。可以说，排球队的成长就是我们的成长，而我们从排球队当中的获益，除了强壮的体魄，精湛的球技之外，更有让我们受益一生的精神财富。

我们的排球队是以Carleton University在校/毕业学生为主体，于2002年9月成立的Ottawa地区业余排球爱好者组织。目前队员兼教练兼后勤总共16人，分两支代表队，活跃于Ottawa地区的华人社区，Carleton University的联赛。共同的爱好——排球，让我们走到了一起。从一开始的强身健体和娱乐目的开始，我们已经成为在业余联赛当中有竞争力的队伍。排球已经成为我们生活的一部分，享受排球，以球会友，展示Ottawa地区华人生活健康、拼搏、阳光的一面，将是我们长期的目标。
